From originally wheelstanding a KR1S to then becoming Tom Cruise’s stunt double for Mission Impossible, Mingay has done it all.  For Matt, he was born on one wheel and has pursued this path his entire adult life.

In this show we speak in depth about Matt’s early career and his current movie “Mingay Challenge Accepted”.

We discuss the accident that changed his life forever, and how he is working hard to be on top once again.

You won’t find a more humble and honest person than Matt Mingay.  Sitting down with him for these few hours to chat is something I’ll cherish forever.

Our special guest for show #037 of Torque and Chatter is motorcycle content producer and racer, Rennie Scaysbrook.

Scaysbrook is a name that has been an integral part of the motorcycling community for decades.  For Rennie, he was born into a family that not only had a passion for bikes, they also loved to write about them.

In this show we speak about Rennie’s early journalism career, and his current role as the Road Test Editor for Cycle News in the USA.

We discuss the journey of how he became the motorcycle record holder for the famed Pikes Peak Hill Climb, and his aspirations to compete in the TT.

Being able to chat with Rennie is like catching up with a mate you’ve known forever.  One that the Motorcycle Industry is very lucky to have.

Our special guest for show #036 of Torque and Chatter is Charlie Costanzo.

Charlie grew up in Myrtleford Victoria. Through his school years he was drawing motorcycles in his school books, from day one he was hooked on them.

Moving forward through the years Charlie raced bikes himself and later has became one of the most well respected mechanics in the industry.

From winning championships with Dan Reardon in Australia to initially talking to Toby Price into trying enduro. Charlie has done it all in the sport.

Our special guest for show #035 of Torque and Chatter is Moto GP Mechanic, Brent Stephens.

Originally from New Zealand Brent developed a passion for all things mechanical.

In the mid 90's Brent got the opportunity to move to Italy and work in a factory team with Simon Crafar.

Now 25 years and 400 GP's later Brent has worked with the best of the best in the sport.

Listening to Stephens chat about, Biaggi, Checa, Rossi and the formidable team of Briggs and Burgess brought back so many memories.

Our special guest for show #034 of Torque and Chatter is Freestyle Stunt Rider, Damien Kennedy.

Growing up in Ireland Damien didn't get into Motorcycling until he was 21, but once he did the addiction hit.  

Since then he has competed plus ran motorcycle stunt events and traveled the world in pursuit of mastering the craft of Stunt Riding.

Damien has a level of professionalism that is great for the sport and still has the larrikin characteristics you'd expect from someone that does this sport.

Our special guests for show #033 of Torque and Chatter is Australian Speedway Icon, Darcy Ward.

Darcy was born with motorsport in his blood, his early years spent traveling around Australia successfully competing in Dirt Track and Speedway.  In 2009 Darcy catapulted onto the international speedway scene by winning the 2009 & 2010 World Under 21 Speedway Championships.

In 2015 Darcy obtained spinal injuries from a racing accident in Poland cutting short his professional racing career.  After many years of rehab and adjusting to life Darcy & Liz are excited about becoming parents in 2021 and have taken on the business of promoting Speedway in QLD.

I feel very privileged to call Darcy a friend and you won't find a person that has more passion for Speedway.
