Toby Price - "King of the Desert"

Our special guest for show #046 of Torque and Chatter is the freshly crowned Finke ‘King of the Desert’, Toby Price OAM.

Toby recently became the first person to win Finke in a car and on a bike.  He has won the bike category 6 x previously.  Throw in 2 x Dakar Winner, 5 x Australian Off- Road Champion, 5 x Hattah Desert Race Champion,  1 x FIM Cross-Country Rally World Champion and OAM recipient, you end up with quite an amazing list of achievements.

For this young boy who grew up in Roto, he sat on his very first bike at the age of 2 and started winning races at the age of 4.  It’s phenomenal what Toby has accomplished and overcome during his journey.  From standing on the top step of a podium, to grieving the loss of his fellow competitors / friends. 

Toby is one of the most down to earth humble individuals you could ever wish to meet. He is a true reflection of his parents John and Pauline Price. It is an honour to have Toby come on the show.  Not only do I regard him as one of the most amazing athletes, he is also a great mate.  Sit back and enjoy the laughs and the ride.
